Ecomato ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Kashyap LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit ecomato.com, install the Ecomato Shopify app at apps.shopify.com/ecomato, or contact us for support.

Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, store name, and authentication data when you install the app via Shopify.

Billing information. Subscription plan, billing history, and payment status. Payment details are processed by Shopify Billing — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Shopify store data. With your authorization, we access product, theme, and page data needed to import products, generate AI rewrites, preview templates, and publish Liquid sections into your theme — including product titles, descriptions, images, variants, and theme template assignments.

Imported URL content. When you paste a product URL (including AliExpress or other sites), we fetch publicly available product details you request for import into your workspace.

Usage data. Log data, device/browser type, pages viewed, feature usage, credit consumption, and support communications.

Communications. Messages you send to us via email, contact forms, or support channels.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Ecomato service
Import products, run AI rewrites, preview templates, and publish Liquid pages
Process subscriptions and Shopify Billing charges
Send transactional emails (account, billing, security, product updates)
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
Improve product performance, security, and reliability
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

When you request AI content rewrite or image regeneration, relevant product fields you select may be sent to subprocessors that provide AI inference. We use this data only to fulfill your requested action and to operate the credit system.

Sharing and subprocessors

We may share data with service providers who help us operate Ecomato, including:

Shopify Inc. (app installation, billing, store APIs)
Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, security)
Email delivery providers for transactional mail
AI model providers for rewrite and image features you explicitly run
Analytics providers (if enabled) for aggregated product usage

We require subprocessors to protect data and use it only for contracted services.

Data retention

We retain account and workspace data while your installation is active and for a reasonable period afterward to provide support, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing info@ecomato.com. Published Liquid pages that already live in your Shopify theme remain under your control in Shopify.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact info@ecomato.com to exercise these rights.

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

Ecomato is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International transfers

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of Ecomato after changes means you accept the updated policy.
